Green Plan What colour is your business? |
Burgh House has a methodology to assess the ‘green-ness’ of a business and develop an action plan to improve this.
To learn more about our Green Plan method see below.

What colour is your business? If that colour isn’t green, you need to take action.
Customers, suppliers, regulators, government, all are increasingly interested in how green{1} a business is. During its 2012 visit the SHELCO team clearly stated that prospective suppliers of goods and services to its planned resort complex will need to demonstrate that they too are green to be considered for selection.
With our Green Plan study not only will you learn your current level of ‘green-ness’, we will also work with you to develop an action plan that will improve this, economically and manageably.
Go to: How it works • What does it cost?
First we work with you to analyse your business as it is now. Our assessment method results in two things:
An overall assessment value, which is expressed in a score from zero to five;
A list of the areas of your business that could, at reasonable cost and within a realistic timescale, be made greener, thus improving your score.
We will then work with you to develop an action plan to address these issues.
At your option we can also re-assess your business at any time during your implementation of the action plan, to review your score.
At present we are working with the Environment Directive to ensure that our scoring methodology is independently verifiable.
There is no fixed fee. A larger and more complex business will require more work than a smaller simpler one. First we meet with you to discuss your business and answer your questions. There is no charge for this meeting. Afterwards we write you a proposal showing how we would perform the Green Plan study and what we expect it would cost you. You are then free to decide whether or not to proceed.
You may also benefit from reading the slides we presented at the “Greening Your Business” seminar on 18th July 2012. They can be downloaded from our Documents page.
If you want to know more, please contact us for an initial discussion. We will meet with you and discuss your requirements and how we would go about meeting them. This initial meeting is free, and at the end we will write to you to explain how we can help you and what it would cost. If you decide not to proceed you pay nothing; but we are confident that you will see the benefits of working with Burgh House.
Please note that you can download a handy summary of our business services from our Documents page. Our full terms and conditions of business are available on this website.
